Cumulative Irritation Patch Test

Cumulative Irritation Patch Tests are performed for 24h, 48h or 96h depending on the type of product on a typical panel consisting of approximately 25 volunteers. 

Trained assessors assess skin reactions throughout the course of the study and a programme of statistical analysis is conducted at the end to analyse and compare the study results for Erythema, Dryness and Irritation.  Results are then compared to suitable controls.

Human Repeat Insult Patch Tests (HRIPT)

Human Repeat Insult Patch Tests are used to assess potential allergy to a product and is conducted in a panel of either 50 or 100 volunteers.  An induction phase is performed for 3 weeks followed by a 2 week break and a challenge phase.

Soap Chamber Tests

This type of study is performed on soap type products and is used to classify a product as Mild or Harsh.
